cousin. mouse. 41 m + 28 m

this meditation is for my cousin. she is starting a process to take care of a health situation. so, may healing lights be with her. may all the health care professionals involved in the treatments and procedures are imbued with healing lights. may all the medical instruments and surgical equipment radiate healing lights.

in fact, it is my cousin who asks me the question, what does this whole thing with the mouse teach you?

when did she ask that? let me think, o, yes, it was when we visited her on the way home from asilomar and she treated us to rice noodle. what did i have? pad thai and spicy coconut soup.

i digress. what to do? i remember places, people by food. as my thoughtful and seasoned yogic friend didi says, admit it, suk wah, food motivates you, and you go nowhere unless there is food. she is absolutely right. almost. the food has to be good though.

enough with the food already. what about the mouse?

here's the latest. hwubby checks the traps, and found a dead mouse. i immediately clamp my eyes shut and start shouting the redeeming mantra, om namah shivaaya.

hwubby says, what about the burial? without missing a beat i get the message from within. under the roses.

so now, the mouse is merged into the beautiful, gorgeous roses. om namah shivaaya.

meanwhile i am watching whiffs of fear drifting in and out of awareness. but i am no longer enslaved in the narrow land of fear.
